The University of St Andrews is Scotland's oldest University, founded in the early 15th century.
The Library's Department of Special Collections is home to the University's outstanding collections of manuscripts, rare books, photographs and institutional archives. The collections are open to the public by appointment only, since items have to be pre-ordered for consultation.
