Dinosaurs, ancient Egyptian objects and live animals are just some of the treasures you can encounter at the Manchester Museum.
Made up of a series of impressive Gothic-style buildings at the heart of the University of Manchester, the museum was designed by Alfred Waterhouse in 1885. New Ancient Worlds galleries opened in late 2012 featuring 20 complete mummies.
