Enjoy the charm of the 18th-century home of the author and naturalist Gilbert White, set in some 25 acres of beautiful restored gardens and parkland.

Family portraits, antique furniture and original manuscripts are on display. The Oates Collection celebrates the life of Victorian explorer Frank Oates and his nephew, Captain Lawrence Oates, who died heroically on Captain Scott's ill-fated Antarctic Expedition of 1911/12. There's an award-winning tea parlour and a well-stocked gift shop.
