Banbury Museum, housed in a new canal-side building, tells the story of the town.

The permanent collections reveal the town's origin and history and include displays on the Civil War, plush manufacturing, the Victorian market town and costume from the 17th century to the present day. The museum is very family friendly and offers an extensive programme for schools.
