Marvel at Antony Gormley’s powerful sea-bound figure in Margate.
Exploring what it means to be human, 1 of 100 solid cast-iron figures by Antony Gormley has been given a home next to Turner Contemporary in Margate. The figure becomes visible in its entirety 3 hours before low tide and is otherwise covered by water to its waist as if wading out to sea.
Another Time will remain in Margate for ten years, with other sculptures from the series by the River Thames in London and in Kunisaki, Japan.
This powerful isolated form evokes the feelings of being still and spending time in solitude, complimenting the beauty of its natural setting.
